Whitmor Company has been awarded  a multi year contract to manufacture, Wire Free Communication  WIFCOM Battery Charging Stations. These charging station are part of the US Navy Damage Control System. The charger is bulkhead mounted and used to store and charge ERICSSON radio batteries. The Charging Station incorporates a temperature controller which controls a cooling fan to maintain interior temperature below preset levels. In the event of the charging unit or battery overheating an audio visual alarm operates until acknowledged and the station turns off.
